We are seeking a high-caliber Test Development Lead Engineer, Project, to drive
test development workstreams across multiple concurrent projects. In this role, you
will act as the primary technical interface and lead between the Test Development
Engineering (TDE) team and internal stakeholders including R&D,
Firmware/BIOS/BMC, and Factory teams. You will define project scope, deliverables,
schedules, and resource requirements in alignment with New Product Introduction
(NPI) milestones (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP), while developing comprehensive
manufacturing test strategies (MTS) for ICT and FCT.
Key Responsibilities
● NPI Project Leadership & Execution: Lead test development workstreams
for multiple concurrent projects, acting as the primary point of contact. Define
project scope, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements in
alignment with NPI milestones (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP) and manage project
risks.
● Test Strategy & Plan Development: Develop manufacturing test strategies
(MTS) for In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Functional Circuit Test (FCT), including
test coverage, hardware/fixture architecture, and data infrastructure.
Collaborate with R&D on Design-for-Test (DFT) initiatives and Pass/Fail
criteria.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface
between the TDE team and internal stakeholders (R&D, Firmware/BIOS/BMC,
and Factory teams) to translate specifications into actionable test
requirements and lead technical reviews.
● Technical Oversight & Quality: Provide technical guidance and mentorship
to engineers, drive root-cause analysis for complex test failures, and ensure
solutions meet critical quality and stability targets.
Required Qualifications
● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
● Experience: 6+ years of experience in test engineering or test development
for complex electronic products.
● Enterprise Hardware Expertise: Direct experience with enterprise hardware
(servers, network switches, or storage systems).
● NPI Lifecycle Mastery: Strong familiarity with the full NPI lifecycle (EVT,
DVT, PVT, MP).
Preferred Qualifications
● Test Automation: Hands-on test automation experience, specifically with
Python.
● Server, Switch & Storage Architecture: Knowledge of server/switch/storage
architecture (x86, BIOS/UEFI, BMC/IPMI, PCIe, DDR, 100G+ Ethernet).
o Switch ASICs & Architecture: Broadcom, Marvell.
o Network Operating Systems (NOS) & Software: SONiC, FBOSS,
OpenBMC, ONIE.
o High-Speed Optical & Copper Interfaces: OSFP, QSFP-DD,
SFP28/QSFP28, DAC/AEC cables.
o Advanced Switch Features & Protocols: MACsec, PTP, PoE++,
VXLAN.
Key Attributes for Success
● Agile & Adaptable: Thrives in fast-paced environments with evolving product
specifications and emerging hardware technologies.
● Decisive Technical Leader: Able to make tough technical trade-offs and
solve complex test engineering challenges under tight schedules without
compromising quality.
● Effective Communicator: Translates complex technical requirements and
project risks into clear priorities for executive leadership and cross-functional
teams.
