ABOUT THE ROLE
Ventrade Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand our partnerships and business opportunities in Malaysia's telecommunications and tower infrastructure sectors.
The role focuses on building productive relationships with Network Facilities Provider (NFP) and Network Service Provider (NSP) licensees, tower owners and operators, telecommunications operators, infrastructure contractors and system integrators. We are particularly interested in candidates with an established, active network of relevant decision-makers and a record of turning industry relationships into commercial opportunities and completed deals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, approach and develop new partners and customers within the telecommunications and tower infrastructure sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with NFP/NSP licensees, tower companies, operators, infrastructure contractors and other relevant channel partners.
- Identify project and partnership opportunities involving tower deployment and upgrades, network rollout, connectivity, equipment supply, implementation and maintenance, where relevant to the company's capabilities.
- Qualify opportunities by assessing customer needs, project scope, commercial potential, partner capabilities, timelines and delivery requirements.
- Lead partner meetings, prepare commercial proposals and develop cooperation models, including project partnerships, channel arrangements and joint bids where appropriate.
- Coordinate with management, technical teams, tender staff and suppliers to develop viable proposals, pricing inputs and responses to RFPs, RFQs and tenders.
- Negotiate commercial terms within agreed approval limits and follow opportunities through to contracts, project handover and repeat business.
- Maintain an organised pipeline with clear next steps, decision-makers, expected values, timing and progress reports.
- Monitor market developments and proactively identify new geographic markets, partners and project opportunities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven business development, strategic account management, channel development or commercial experience in telecommunications, tower infrastructure or closely related network infrastructure businesses.
- A strong record of originating opportunities and securing partnerships, projects or contracts, with clear examples of your personal contribution.
- An established and active network among Malaysian NFP/NSP licensees and tower industry decision-makers is highly preferred.
- Practical understanding of how telecommunications infrastructure projects are identified, procured, commercially structured and delivered.
- Ability to independently open doors, arrange substantive meetings, qualify opportunities and move discussions towards agreed commercial outcomes.
- Strong proposal writing, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and tender teams and maintain accurate commercial follow-up.
- Professional working proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage for partner and supplier communication.
- A completed Bachelor's degree or higher is required, preferably in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related discipline. Diploma, certificate or secondary-school qualifications alone do not meet the minimum requirement. Please state your degree, awarding institution and graduation year in your CV.
- Willingness to attend partner meetings and travel within Malaysia when required.

Please include your CV and a short note covering:
1. Your experience in telecommunications, tower infrastructure and working with NFP/NSP licensees.
2. The types of partners and decision-makers you have worked with, and the markets or regions you cover.
3. Two examples of partnerships or projects you personally helped secure, explaining your role and the commercial outcome. Anonymised examples are welcome; confidential client information and private contact lists are not required.
4. Your expected monthly salary and notice period.
