IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are a Malaysian provider of ICT infrastructure solutions, specializing in deploying, securing, and managing robust data center environments. We are looking for individuals who love technical challenges, versatile and skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our technical team.

Responsibilities
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot servers, virtualisation, security, storage and networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot core networking devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VLANs and VPNs.
• Manage security controls, system hardening, patching and security alerts.
• Monitor performance and availability; maintain backups and test recovery.
• Automate routine tasks and maintain technical documentation.
• Resolve customer issues and provide technical input for proposed solutions.

Technical requirements
Hands-on experience in the following areas; equivalent platforms are welcome.
• Operating systems: Linux and Windows Server.
• Virtualisation technology: Proxmox VE, oVirt, Nutanix, Sangfor HCI / SCP, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM.
• Core networking: Switches, routers, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi.
• Network security: Firewalls, NAT, access controls, network segmentation and VPNs.
• System security: Hardening, patching, log review and vulnerability remediation.
• Storage and backup: Storage administration, backup and recovery testing. Familiar with common Linux / Windows storage layers such as iSCSI, ZFS, LVM.
• Scripting and automation: Shell script. Python, Go or Rust is an advantage.

Other requirements
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Spoken and written communication in Bahasa Melayu and English. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Relevant IT qualification. Diploma and Advanced Diploma holders with strong practical experience are encouraged to apply. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of IT Enterprise Infrastructure experience.
• Possess own transport.
• Malaysian citizenship is required.
• Reliably commute to Cyberjaya or relocate before starting work. Work location: In person.
