Lecturer - Management

Successful candidates are expected to deliver courses in the management discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while carrying out impactful disciplinary research. In addition, the candidates are expected to lead ad hoc projects at the School or Faculty level.     

The academic staff will undertake independent teaching and research in his or her discipline or related area. In research and/or scholarship, the academic staff will make an independent contribution which expands knowledge. They will demonstrate expertise and provide leadership and service that includes coordination of activities of other staff, as appropriate to the discipline.

The academic staff will normally:
- contribute to teaching at undergraduate, honours and post graduate level;
- engage in independent scholarship and/or research;
- contribute to professional activities appropriate to his or her profession or discipline; and
- contribute to the innovation ecosystem and contribute expertise to the creation of value from innovation and engagement activities.

He or she will normally undertake administration primarily relating to his or her activities at the institution and may be required to perform the full academic responsibilities of and related administration for the coordination of an award program of the institution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- PhD degree from a reputable university in the areas of management or related areas such as operations management, sustainability management, leadership, etc. 
- Possess a strong commitment to research and advancing their field of expertise, including the supervision of postgraduate studies, to build the School of Business’s research profile. 
- A recognised research track record with publications in high-ranked journals and/or managing research grants would be an added advantage.
- Teaching experience in higher education is essential. 
Membership of a professional body would be an added advantage.
