Instrument Designer

We are looking for an experienced Instrument Designer to join our engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing instrumentation and control system design deliverables for Early Engineering, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), and Detailed Design projects within the oil & gas, energy, and industrial sectors.

Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Instrument Designer in the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial sectors.
Proven experience in Early Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Design projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software.
Experience with AVEVA E3D, PDMS, Navisworks, or other 3D modelling platforms is an advantage.
Good understanding of instrumentation and control systems, including:
DCS (Distributed Control System)
ESD (Emergency Shutdown System)
Fire & Gas Systems
PLC Systems
Field Instrumentation
Ability to interpret P&IDs, instrument datasheets, specifications, and engineering documents.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.

Preferred Experience
Offshore oil & gas project experience.
Brownfield and greenfield project experience.
Experience working in an EPC or engineering consultancy environment.
Familiarity with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), AVEVA Instrumentation, or equivalent systems.
