Technical Leader – Digital Banking Technology

**Qualifications & Experience**

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development, system integration, and software engineering.
* Proven experience leading development teams in the Banking, Financial Services, or Digital Banking domain.
* Strong understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements, particularly within Consumer Banking, Retail Banking, Digital Channels, and Payments ecosystems.
* Extensive experience designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance banking applications and digital solutions.
* Demonstrated experience in leading Agile delivery teams, managing technical roadmaps, and driving end-to-end software development lifecycle activities.
* Experience in implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality governance, and release management practices.
* Strong capability in reviewing technical designs, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to banking security, compliance, and architecture standards.
* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical and production issues within mission-critical banking environments.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, solution architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, vendors, and project managers in a matrix organization.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills with experience managing teams of developers and technical specialists.

**Technical Skills**

* Strong expertise in **Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework** for enterprise-grade banking application development.
* Hands-on experience with **Apache Kafka** for event-driven architecture, real-time transaction processing, and microservices communication.
* Experience with **Redis** for caching, session management, and performance optimization.
* Strong knowledge of **PostgreSQL** database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
* Experience in designing and implementing **Microservices Architecture**, RESTful APIs, and API security standards.
* Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift is an advantage.
* Understanding of banking integration standards, messaging platforms, and enterprise integration patterns.
* Knowledge of security best practices, authentication mechanisms, encryption, and regulatory compliance requirements in banking environments.
* Experience with monitoring, logging, performance tuning, and production support of high-volume banking applications.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of digital banking platforms and consumer banking applications.
* Drive technical solutioning and architecture discussions to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient banking solutions.
* Manage and mentor development teams, ensuring delivery quality, productivity, and adherence to best practices.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate banking requirements into technical solutions.
* Ensure compliance with banking governance, security policies, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee code reviews, technical standards, release planning, and production deployments.
* Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives for critical banking systems.
* Drive modernization initiatives, system optimization, and adoption of emerging technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
