PURPOSE OF JOB
1) Support business and technical development through communication with BU Managers and customers.
2) Review customer’s technical inquiry (coating related) - assess manufacturability and propose alternative specifications if necessary.
3) Design, develop and test new coating processes for releasing to production with satisfactory yield result.
4) Solve technical/quality issues occur during First Article (FA) and serial production
5) Introduce new process technology to enhance optical coating capability, improve quality or productivity.
6) Provide technical support to other manufacturing sites to improve coating capability or solve technical/quality issue.
7) Train junior engineers/technicians in various aspects related to coating technology.
JOB DUTIES
1) Review RFQ/technical inquiries and provide necessary inputs for cost estimation.
2) Provide effective coating process to achieve good coating quality and productivity. Release manufacturing process instruction sheet/manual.
3) Lead a team of engineers/technicians to sustain and improve coating and related operations.
4) Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions on quality issues.
5) Ensure coating machines and related equipment (ultrasonic machines, spectrophotometers, etc) are well maintained and function effectively.
