Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description

Responsible for the development, improvement, and maintenance of departmental procedures, policies, and work instructions.

Prepare financial information and reports for management review and decision-making.

Responsible for product costing, cost analysis, and monitoring of manufacturing and operational expenses.

Liaise with bankers, external auditors, tax agents, legal advisors, and other relevant authorities.

Prepare monthly financial performance reports and management reports for senior management.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and payment processing.

Manage cash flow forecasting, fund transfers, banking transactions, and monthly payment planning.

Handle month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.

Monitor inventory accounting, including raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), finished goods, stock take reconciliation, and inventory variance analysis.

Coordinate annual statutory audits, tax matters, and preparation of financial statements.

Review supplier invoices, payment schedules, and outstanding balances to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve costing, inventory, and accounting-related issues.

Support budgeting, financial forecasting, cost control, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

Supervise and guide accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily accounting tasks.

Minimum Qualification.

Diploma / degree in accounting and finance / ACCA –account and finance qualification with a minimum of 5 years in a finance management position.

Strong Financial management experience in funds and treasury control and planning.

Highly energized and assertive to ensure the compliance and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Min 3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

Familiar with SQL Accounting software from any industry or services.

Good communication skill, leadership and motivation skill.

Possess high level of integrity, responsibility and able to work independently.
