Job Title: Accounts Intern (Hospitality)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join our hospitality finance team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience managing the unique, fast-paced financial operations of a hospitality business—spanning daily room and F&B revenue audits, accounts payable for local vendors, and property management system reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Night Audit & Revenue Review: Assist in verifying daily sales reports, cash drops, and credit card settlements from the front office and F&B outlets.
• Property Management System (PMS) Matching: Cross-reference data between hospitality systems (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds) and core accounting software.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Process and match supplier invoices, delivery orders, and purchase orders for kitchen ingredients, hotel amenities, and utilities.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist in monitoring corporate group accounts, travel agent commissions (e.g., Agoda, Booking.com), and guest city ledgers.
• Inventory & Cost Control Support: Participate in periodic physical stock counts for food, beverage, and operating supplies to assist with monthly cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) tracking.
• Documentation: Maintain organized digital and physical filings of tax invoices, receipts, and entertainment logs for audit readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality/Hotel Management (with an accounting focus).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Exposure to hospitality POS or property management systems is a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: High level of integrity, strong mathematical skills, and the agility to work in a dynamic, fast-moving service environment.
