Contract Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

Responsibilities:
1. Manage construction contracts from tender stage through project completion.
2. Review and negotiate contracts, terms, conditions, and commercial agreements.
3. Monitor contractual obligations, risks, variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT).
4. Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, payments, and performance.
5. Review progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts.
6. Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.
7. Prepare contractual correspondence, commercial reports, and claim documentation.
8. Identify contractual risks and recommend solutions to protect the company's interests.
9. Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and business partners when required.

Requirements:
1. Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction contract or commercial management.
3. Good knowledge of construction contracts, claims, variation orders, EOT, and contract administration.
4. Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
6. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
7. Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
8. Willing to work in Senai, Johor, and travel when required.

Qualifications:
1. Experience in building construction or property development.
2. Familiarity with Malaysian construction contracts, tendering, and procurement.
3. Experience managing subcontractor agreements, payment claims, and final accounts.
4. Knowledge of relevant standard forms of construction contracts, such as PAM, PWD, or CIDB forms, where applicable.
5. Experience handling contractual disputes, claims, and commercial negotiations.
