Junior Quantity Surveyor (Structural Steel Works)

Job description:

To manage the contract administration process, both pre and post tender stages:

Pre-Contract Stage:

· Review tender drawings and specification to ensure all measurements and quantities are accounted for to achieve realistic commercial value for each project.

· Prepares bill of quantities which involves quantity take-off in excel sheet, materials sourcing, measuring, and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process.

· Prepare tender quotations for review with management and submission to clients.

Post-Contract Stage:

· Provide procurement support during contract phase. Sourcing of local and/or overseas vendors.

· Prepare monthly progress claims, including variation orders claims.

· Monitor project budget and perform cost controlling.

· Prepare cash flow data progressively.

· Finalize project accounts/claims.

Additional Duties:

· Perform other duties and task assigned by immediate supervisor.

Years of Experience:

· Preferred with 2 years’ experience in steel structure fabrication or similar field, but fresh graduates welcomed to apply.

· Diploma or higher education in civil & Structural engineering, quantity surveying or similar field.

· Meticulous, analytical and eye for detail.

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and tight schedules.

· Highly motivated, self-driven with initiative to work independently.

· Sound computer literacy, including advance skills in excel.

· Advance level of English, in both written and spoken.
