IT Advisory Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Advisory Consultant to help our clients make sound decisions about their technology. You will review how their IT is set up today, find the gaps and risks, and give clear advice on what to change and in what order. You will also support the team while the recommendations are put into action.

What You Will Do
Assess clients’ current IT systems, processes and infrastructure
Identify gaps, risks and areas for improvement
Recommend IT strategies, roadmaps and solution options that fit the client’s business goals
Prepare assessment reports, proposals and presentations for client management
Advise on technology selection, system upgrades and digital transformation plans
Review IT governance, security and compliance practices against common standards
Run workshops and interviews with business and IT stakeholders
Support project teams during implementation and check that the recommendations are followed
Keep up with new technology trends and share them with the team and clients
What We Need From You
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in IT consulting, IT advisory, business analysis or a similar role
Good understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications and cloud services
Understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Knowledge of IT governance and risk frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT or ISO 27001
Able to analyse problems and present findings in a clear, simple way
Good report writing and presentation skills
Good English, both spoken and written. Bahasa Malaysia is a plus
Comfortable working with senior people on the client side
Willing to travel to client sites when needed
Good to Have
Certifications such as ITIL, CISA, CISM, COBIT, PMP or TOGAF
Experience in digital transformation or IT strategy projects
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Experience with banking, telco or government clients
