Laboratory Assistant (School)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lab Assistant to join our academic team. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about teaching, able to create engaging lesson plans, and committed to delivering impactful learning experiences aligned with our school’s curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

1) Laboratory Management
- Laboratory preparation and practical support especially for Ujian Amali Sains (SPM)
- Laboratory Management and maintenance.
- Laboratory safety & compliance
- Administrative and resources management such as maintaining records of laboratory equipment, chemicals, consumables, and stock usage.
- Work collaboratively with science Teachers to ensure the smooth delivery of practical lessons.
- Participate in school events, Co-curricular activities, and professional development sessions.

2) Student Progress & Assessment
- Assess, record, and report students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students when required.
- Identify students requiring additional support and provide intervention strategies.

3) Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to support curriculum development.
- Support the school’s vision, mission, and values in daily teaching practice.

Requirements
1) Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory, Science or related field.
2) Minimum 3 years working experience in Laboratory or Lab management.
3) Strong grasp of English and Malay language.
4) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5) Patient, responsible, and able to work well with children.
6) Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
7) Familiarity with teaching aids, digital tools, and modern teaching methods is an added advantage.
8) Passionate about teaching and child development.
9) Warm, approachable, and enthusiastic.
10) Creative and able to design engaging learning activities.
11) Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism.
