Trailer Drivers

Key Responsibilities:

1. Driving & Delivery Excellence:

Safely operate heavy-duty trailers (Prime Movers) for container haulage (Import/Export) within Port Klang and across Peninsular Malaysia.

Ensure all goods are delivered according to the schedule provided by the Haulage Planner.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (tyres, brakes, lights, oil) to ensure roadworthiness.

2. Legal & Safety Compliance:

Strictly adhere to Malaysian Road Transport Laws (JPJ) and APAD regulations, including speed limits and weight restrictions.

Maintain a clean driving record and ensure the vehicle's Puspakom and permit stickers are valid.

Practice safe driving to protect yourself, the vehicle, and other road users.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

Manage and safeguard important documents, including Delivery Orders (DO), Customs forms (K1/K2), and port gate-pass.

Ensure the Logbook (Buku Log) is updated accurately for every trip as per legal requirements.

Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or delays immediately to the Haulage Planner or Foreman.

Requirements (Malaysian Law & Company Standards):

Valid Licenses: Must possess a valid Class E Full License and GDL Bersendi (Articulated).

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the logistics/haulage industry.

Knowledge: Familiar with Port Klang (Northport, Westport) procedures and major highway routes.

Health: Must be physically fit and able to pass a drug/alcohol screening (as required by safety policy).

Attitude: Disciplined, punctual, and respectful towards colleagues and customers.
