Quantity Surveyor

*Prepare and submit interim payment claims to JKR ·
*Measurement of works in accordance with BQ and drawings ·
*Maintain financial records and project cost monitoring ·
*Assist in preparation of final account ·
*Liaise with Site Team and JKR on measurement matters.
*Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and progress claims
*Handle measurement, taking-off, and variation orders (VO)
*Monitor and control project costs
*Prepare cost and financial reports
*CPM / Microsoft Project knowledge is mandatory

Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure / marine projects
Familiar with JKR BQ, measurement and interim valuations
Experience in VO, claims and final accounts
Good documentation and contract administration skills

Contract Overview:
The project “Menaik Taraf Jeti Kargo Kg. Tekek, Pulau Tioman, Pahang” is a government infrastructure project under the supervision of Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Malaysia. The works involve upgrading and strengthening an existing cargo jetty to improve safety, durability, and operational efficiency. The project includes marine and over-water construction works carried out in a coastal and island environment. Located on Pulau Tioman, the project requires careful planning around marine conditions and monsoon seasons. All works are executed in accordance with JKR specifications, with strong emphasis on quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
