SAP Development Lead

Reports To: Country Manager of PEC South East Asia
Location: Penang Malaysia

Position Summary:
The SAP Development Lead will support our financial and operational processes across multiple international business units. He will collaborate closely with finance, controlling, manufacturing, and operational teams around the world to analyze business requirements, optimize end to end processes and deliver SAP solutions aligned with our needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and translate business and financial requirements into robust, scalable SAP solutions.
Lead the re-engineering, functional improvement, configuration and support of key SAP ECC and S/4 HANA components, with primary responsibility for FI/CO.
Coordinate cross module integration with MM, PP, and other SAP areas across multiple international business units.
Collaborate effectively with technical teams (infrastructure, development, integration).
Produce clear and comprehensive functional specifications, process documentation, and end user training materials.

Requirements:

- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. SAP Level 3 or higher certification is a significant advantage
- 5+ years of experience delivering and supporting ERP solutions (SAP ECC and S/4 HANA)
- Proven senior level expertise configuring SAP FI/CO (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO PA, CO PC, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with SDLC frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid). Practical understanding of DevOps concepts and tools supporting testing, transport automation, or CI/CD within enterprise SAP environments
- Strong analytical ability to model, challenge, and improve complex business processes
- Excellent global stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
- Hands on mindset with the ability and interest to design, document, and significantly improve a small but strategically important IT environment
- Experience in a global high-tech manufacturing environment is highly desirable
