Electrical Site Engineer

Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities at project sites to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings and project specifications.

Oversee the installation of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, switchboards, electrical cabling, cable containment, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems, as applicable to the project.

Coordinate the installation and integration of critical power infrastructure for data centers, including uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, standby generators, power distribution units, and associated equipment, where specified.

Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical submissions, material specifications, and installation method statements.

Conduct regular site inspections to verify electrical installation quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved designs and applicable standards.

Coordinate with mechanical engineers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure efficient project execution.

Assist in electrical testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, functional testing, and equipment performance verification, as applicable.

Monitor site progress, identify installation issues, and prepare technical reports and progress updates for project management.

Ensure that electrical works comply with applicable Malaysian electrical regulations, project specifications, and occupational safety and health requirements.

Investigate electrical installation defects, identify their causes, and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant technical teams.

Coordinate electrical material inspections, equipment delivery, installation sequencing, and site work schedules.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, commissioning activities, technical submissions, and as-built electrical drawings.

Support the integration of electrical infrastructure with intelligent building management, monitoring, and control systems, where required.

Assist with final inspections, system handover, technical documentation, and project closeout activities.
