Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to high cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role includes inspecting rooms, assigning duties, training staff, and ensuring smooth daily housekeeping operations. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily housekeeping operations and staff assignments.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assign duties and monitor performance of housekeeping attendants.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, prepared, and ready for guest occupancy on time.
• Conduct training and guidance for housekeeping staff on SOPs and standards.
• Monitor and control housekeeping supplies, linen, and cleaning materials.
• Report maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure proper handling of lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping records, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office and Maintenance departments.

Requirements
• Minimum SPM / Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
