Warehouse Assistant

1. Maintain accurate records of raw materials and finished goods
2. Track stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO or LIFO).
3. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely purchase of raw materials and packaging materials.
4. Track and report the usage of raw materials and provide requisition reports for restocking.
5. Inspect incoming raw materials for quality, quantity, and conformity with specifications.
6. Verify shipping documents and prepare goods receipts for the delivered materials.
7. Ensure proper handling and storage of received goods to prevent damage.
8. Ensure materials are properly stored in designated areas to prevent damage and contamination.
9. Organize inventory by categories for easy access.
10. Implement and maintain a proper labelling system for inventory items.
11. Issue raw materials and components to production as per the production plan or requisition.
12. Ensure materials are issued in the right quantities and at the right time to avoid delays in production.
13. Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile them with stock records.
14. Monitor stock levels to ensure they meet production demands and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
15. Report discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records to management.
16. Store finished products securely in the warehouse.
17. Prepare finished goods for dispatch and ensure they are labelled correctly.
18. Track finished goods to ensure timely delivery to customers or shipping departments.
19. Ensure that the warehouse and storage areas comply with safety regulations.
20. Ensure materials are stored according to their specific safety requirements (e.g., chemicals, flammable materials).
21. Maintain accurate records of materials issued, received, and stored.
22. Record and report any stockouts, damage, or loss of materials to the relevant departments.
23. Work closely with production, procurement, and packing departments to ensure smooth flow of materials and finished goods.
24. Assist with coordinating deliveries and stock movements.
25. Monitor and manage scrap materials or defective products to minimize waste.
26. Report excess material wastage and help implement waste reduction strategies.
