JOB SUMMARY
Patt Abi Travel & Tour Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tour Operations Specialist (Russian-Speaking Markets) to support the design, coordination and delivery of inbound tourism programmes for Russian-speaking visitors to Kuala Lumpur and other Malaysian destinations, as well as outbound tour packages from Malaysia to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The position requires substantial tourism-operations experience, Russian-language customer communication, destination-aware itinerary planning and the ability to coordinate services across different countries and suppliers. The role is broader than translation: it covers travel product planning, logistics, supplier coordination, booking control and customer service throughout the tour cycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design customised tour packages and practical day-by-day itineraries for Russian-speaking individual travellers and groups visiting Malaysia.
• Plan outbound itineraries from Malaysia to the Five Stans, coordinating destination sequencing, accommodation, transport, sightseeing and local experiences.
• Consult customers to understand their travel purpose, interests, budget, dates, group profile and service requirements; prepare itinerary proposals and quotations.
• Coordinate airport transfers, hotel bookings, ground transport, restaurants, attractions, guides and other services for inbound group tours in Malaysia.
• Liaise with Malaysian and Central Asian tourism suppliers to request rates, confirm availability, communicate service details and resolve booking issues.
• Use Russian to communicate with customers and Russian-speaking partners; use English to coordinate with local suppliers and colleagues.
• Prepare booking records, schedules, rooming lists, transfer manifests, vouchers, confirmations and other operational documents.
• Monitor tour delivery, respond to itinerary changes and coordinate practical solutions to delays, cancellations or customer concerns.
• Research destinations, routes, seasonal considerations and travel experiences to develop suitable, culturally informed travel programmes.
• Collect customer feedback and recommend improvements to itinerary design, supplier performance and travel products.
