Engineer Assistant Costing

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare cost estimates for customer enquiries and new products.\
-Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material requirements.
-Liaise with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing departments to obtain costing information.
-Obtain and verify material prices and supplier quotations.
-Maintain and update costing records, quotation files, and cost databases.
-Compare estimated costs against actual production costs and identify cost variances.
-Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and support manufacturing cost optimisation.
-Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the management.

Requirement:
-Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
-Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
-Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes is an advantage.
-Knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, grinding, or other precision machining processes will be an added advantage.
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
-Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
-Meticulous, responsible, and willing to learn.
-Good communication and teamwork skills.
-Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
